What is Parent Support?
Parenting a child with ADHD and/or challenges with executive function can be draining and overwhelming. It can be isololating and it is beneficial to know you are not alone. As a parent of a neurodivergent child, I understand.
Together we can create tools and strategies to scaffold and support your child/children and other family members. It is a safe and non-judgmental place to process concerns you may have.
Parent support can also be a great alternative when children who are not yet ready or willing for coaching themselves.
We can discuss topics such as:
What is ADHD and how is it presenting in my child?
Support for parents who also have ADHD (or suspected ADHD)
Routines and scaffolding
Emotional regulation (child and parent)
Creating an ADHD friendly and harmonious environment
plus any of the many challenges you work through every day
.
What to expect
Parent support sessions are up to 50 minutes. Located in my office on the North Shore, Auckland or via zoom.
Testimonial
“After receivng an adult ADHD diagnosis last year, I was overwhelmed and struggling to understand how my brain actually works - while also raising a (very neurodivergent) family of my own. Fiona was great fun to work with and helped me sort through a variety of different areas of my life that were causing a lot of stress. She guided me in coming up with practical solutions to make my family life and daily routines smoother. Highly recommend!”
